Summer Travel Class | Photo in LA

Photo in LaThis summer we will have a photo class, Jun 10 – 17 in Los Angeles, CA. We will be visiting museums, galleries, photo centers and studios to see a range of photographic styles. Also, participants will have the opportunity to photograph the city and produce a photographic journal of their week.

There is an informational meeting @ 11 AM on Saturday March 9th. You don’t need to be experienced at photography, just have a digital camera of any type. Tell your friends about the class and the meeting.

Duane Michals Presentation @ the DAM

Duane Michals, a master of sequential photographs, where he combines poetry, narrative and philosophic text with imagery, will be presenting his work at the Denver Art Museum on March 7th, 7–8 PM.

Student Price is $5, DAM or CPAC Member Price is $10 and Regular Price is $15

Portfolio Review

Students–The Cherry Creek Art Festival is holding an emerging artist portfolio review. This is a great opportunity to have your work reviewed by a former juror for the festival. The deadline to enter is Wednesday October 31st.

Sports Photography Opportunity

The Colorado Eagles is looking for photographers for this season. You can do this as an internship if you are a Junior or Senior or can just photograph for experience. However, you must commit to finishing the season. Any student who doesn’t follow through with their commitment will not be able to apply for any future internships or photography studio [directed study] classes.

Art 271 Posters are Ready for Pickup

The posters for the show are ready for pickup. They are in the classroom on the red case next to the door. Please take and put up at least 3 posters

Responsibilities for the Show

18 Apr

Art 271 | Introduction to Photography class need to pick up the fliers/posters and post them. Each person should pick up at least 3. Post in different buildings on campus and also local businesses (ask first).

Art 274 | Fundamentals of B/W Photography class will help set up the show.

Art 477 | Photographic Illustration & Lighting Techniques class will provide food for the show. I will be supplying drinks.

If everyone helps out, no one needs to do too much.

Also remember to invite friends/family. Use Facebook, Twitter, etc. to spread the word.

Lab/Studio Schedule

The digital lab, processing lab, darkroom and photo studio will be open on Thursday & Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-4 and Sunday 1-4.
